In Fulton County, the power of incumbency showed its strength in overwhelming wins for Superior Court Clerk Cathelene “Tina” Robinson, Tax Commissioner Arthur Ferdinand and Solicitor General Carmen Smith, each of whom garnered more than 70 percent of the vote.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge D. Todd Markle, the only incumbent facing a challenge, fared somewhat less well, but still handily defeated challenger Clarence Johnson Jr. with 54 percent of the vote.
