A legal battle challenging former State Bar of Georgia Executive Director Jeff Davis' election to the Georgia Court of Appeals has come to an end following a ruling by the Supreme Court of Georgia on Tuesday.

In a nine-page opinion, justices dismissed a challenge launched by Cobb County Magistrate Judge Tabitha Ponder—who Davis defeated in the nonpartisan May 21 election—and Augusta attorney Randolph Frails after determining the appellants "failed to do 'everything within their power to have their claims decided before the election occurred.'"
