- Gov. Brian Kemp is expected to appoint either Angelique B. McClendon, General Counsel of the Georgia Department of Driver Services, or Gwinnett County Assistant Solicitor General Vasco 'Terry' McRae.
- The successful candidate will fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Chief Judge Clarence Cuthpert Jr.
