The U.S. Supreme Court said Wednesday that it will decide whether former President Donald Trump can stand trial on charges related to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, setting arguments on the issue for the week of April 22.
Specifically, the court will address the question of “whether and if so to what extent does a former President enjoy presidential immunity from criminal prosecution for conduct alleged to involve official acts during his tenure in office.”
