A trio of Atlanta attorneys are seeking to change the perception of charity with an organization launched in December based around the concept of “effective altruism,” a relatively new idea that seeks to make the Georgia legal community’s giving more efficient and worthwhile.

Partner attorneys, Naveen Ramachandrappa of Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore and Jeb Butler of Butler Kahn, spoke to the Daily Report about their new organization, Smart Giving, and how it differs from traditional charity efforts by maximizing every dollar given.
