Defense allegations that seek to remove the prosecution team in the Georgia voting interference case against former President Donald Trump and others have some merit but are more likely designed to make a jury more favorable to defendants, legal experts said.

Emory University law professor John Acevedo said he believed claims that include a personal relationship between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and lead prosecutor Nathan Wade have been raised “for public relations” reasons because “they’re trying to get the jurors to distrust the district attorney’s office.”
