Meta Platforms was hit with a privacy class action on Oct. 5 in South Carolina District Court. The suit, filed by Bursor & Fisher and Poulin Willey Anastopoulo LLC, accuses Meta of violating the class members’ privacy by tracking permanent disability placard renewals; new car registrations; identification card renewals; and other activity on the South Carolina DMV website. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 6:23-cv-05004, Keogh v. Meta Platforms Inc.
