Daniel Moriarty of Moriarty Injury Lawyer recently secured a $30M verdict out of DeKalb County after an hour and 15 minutes of deliberation in a medical-malpractice wrongful death action where a nurse practitioner failed to diagnose a patient’s several broken ribs and other injuries that eventually led to sepsis.

According to Moriarty “this was a very good case on the medicine and the facts” for the plaintiffs. He attributes his team’s success to a favorable fact pattern, extensive voir dire preparation and successful cross-examination, noting the case was settled after the verdict and will not be appealed.
