A Georgia judge has refused to issue an interlocutory injunction and temporary restraining order against the Joint Development Authority (JDA) and the company overseeing the planned construction of a plant for electric truck-maker Rivian Automotive, advancing local governments’ plans for site development on rural lands east of Atlanta.

The plaintiffs, property owners around the site east of Atlanta, sought to enjoin the JDA, comprised of Morgan, Newton, Walton and Jasper counties, and Plateau Excavation in attempts to stop defendants from performing any further work in building the facility.
