Back in June, I got an email from the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association.

It was a blanket message sent to everyone on the organization’s email list, and the subject matter—the shocking death of 40-year-old attorney Hemanth Digumarthi—got my attention. But I thought that if GAPABA wanted me to submit an obituary article on Digumarthi, someone from the organization could contact me separately and directly about it, and no one did. I read the email and moved on.
