The International Rescue Committee has chosen Squire Patton Boggs principal Angela Mariana “Manana” Freyre as its general counsel.
Freyre replaces Ricardo Castro, who served for five years before leaving in February to be the legal chief of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Deputy General Counsel Joan Fong took the reins at the IRC’s legal team during the transition.
