An Asian-American woman is suing a top Atlanta private school where she worked as its preschool director, and two of its administrators, bringing claims of discrimination, retaliation and breach of contract after she was fired last year.

The Atlanta law firm Buckley Beal filed the lawsuit July 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on behalf of Caroline Diaz, Ed.D., who led the preschool at The Westminster Schools, from 2015-21. She is seeking equitable relief and damages. The suit names Westminster plus Kelley Day, Diaz’s supervisor, and Christa Hansen, who worked in the school’s human resources department, as defendants.
