Masks have returned this week to the public areas of the courthouse complex in Marietta, Georgia, based on an order from Cobb County Superior Court Chief Judge Robert Leonard II setting up a sliding scale for safety protocols, depending upon the number of COVID-19 cases.

The move automatically follows the return of community coronavirus transmission levels to the “high” category, as reported Monday by the Cobb and Douglas County public health agency. “Masks will be required in all public areas of the courthouses and social distancing measures in courtrooms and elsewhere are in place,” Cobb County announced on its website, citing an order Leonard issued in March.
