From guaranteed time out of their cells to access to therapeutic activities and personal hygiene products, conditions at the South Fulton Jail in Union City will soon improve for women inmates with mental health illness, thanks to the efforts of several Georgia lawyers.
After three years of litigation, attorneys with the Southern Center for Human Rights, the Georgia Advocacy Office and Caplan Cobb have reached a class-action settlement with the Fulton County jail system in Georgia Advocacy Office. v. Labat.
