An Atlanta Municipal Court judge will be publicly reprimanded later this year following an investigation into alleged ethics violations, the Georgia Supreme Court ruled.

In its opinion released Tuesday, the court stated Judge JaDawnya Baker, who was accused of 16 counts of judicial conduct violations, only deserved a public reprimand, which will take place at a date to be determined in a court proceeding where the punishment will be made part of her public record. The reprimand comes after Baker and her lawyers negotiated with the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission, the state’s judicial watchdog group, to reach an agreement on her punishment.
