Kemp said he intends to appoint William Kendall as district attorney of the Houston Judicial Circuit to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of George H. Hartwig III in Perry.
William Kendall, who was the governor's choice for top prosecutor in the Houston Judicial Circuit, is a military veteran and most recently the chief assistant district attorney in the office he's about to lead.
