Cozen O’Connor filed an insurance lawsuit Monday in Georgia Northern District Court on behalf of Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada. The suit, which names Bank of Utah in its capacity as a securities intermediary, seeks to void a life insurance policy that the insurer alleges was illegally procured for the purpose of benefiting investors in the life insurance secondary market. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:21-cv-03973, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada v. Bank of Utah.
