Synovus Financial, a provider of payment cards and card services, was hit with a patent infringement lawsuit Thursday in Georgia Northern District Court. The lawsuit, which asserts five patents related to secure transaction processing and fraud mitigation, was filed by Garteiser Honea PLLC on behalf of Caselas LLC. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:21-cv-03828, Caselas, LLC v. Synovus Financial Corp.
