Former Glynn County District Attorney Jackie Johnson was indicted on charges of violation of oath of office and obstruction Thursday afternoon for her role in shielding the men accused of stalking and killing 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery on Feb. 23, 2020, in Satilla Shores.

The indictment handed down by a Glynn County grand jury said Johnson showed “favor and affection” for a former investigator in her office, Greg McMichael, who is accused along with his son Travis McMichael and William “Roddie” Bryan Jr. in Arbery’s death.
