When Donald Trump sued Big Tech this week over his suspension from social media in the aftermath of the 2020 election, more than a few observers were asking why any lawyer would want to file a suit on behalf of the former president.

Amid widespread reports that Trump hasn’t paid Rudolph Giuliani’s legal bills, and the reputational damage some lawyers sustained for representing Trump in suits over the election results, some lawyers would be cautious about taking on a case for the ex-president.
