Gov. Brian Kemp now has on his desk a short list of candidates to fill an opening on the Fulton County Superior Court.

The Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission met Friday to interview 19 of the original 28 applicants. The panel sent the governor three names Monday in a letter signed by the co-chairs, Vincent Russo of the Robbins Firm, lobbyist and regulatory attorney Mark Middleton of Middleton Public Affairs, and Cherokee County District Attorney Shannon Wallace.
