Dentons’ Atlanta managing partner, Sharon Gay, has handed over the reins to Todd Silliman as she dials back her public policy practice to get more involved in what she termed “the issues of the day”—most crucially, the city’s affordable housing crisis.

Dentons, which bills itself as the world’s largest law firm, gained an Atlanta location in 2015 when it acquired McKenna Long & Aldridge. Silliman, an environmental lawyer, joined Dentons’ predecessor firm in Atlanta in 1997 as a fourth-year associate, just two years before Gay joined from her post as deputy chief of staff for former Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell.
