Former Rep. Doug Collins, R-Georgia, started a new job this week at Oliver & Weidner, a general practice law firm in the Appalachian foothills town of Clarkesville, Georgia.
He was at his desk and picking up his phone Thursday after announcing the news about his firm. He said he will be handling a wide range of cases, practicing with longtime friends Bill Oliver and Jim Weidner, who formed the firm in 2006. They handle personal injury, divorce, corporate transactions, criminal defense, real estate and title work. They were joined in 2010 by retired Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court Chief Judge Ernest “Bucky” Woods III.
