Despite the global pandemic—and in some ways because of it—the 1,158-lawyer Miami law firm Holland & Knight entered 2021 a leaner and more profitable version of itself.
The Miami-based Am Law 100 firm saw a 1.7% increase in gross revenue, reaching $1.04 billion in 2020. Revenue per lawyer rose 6.4% to $901,000, and profits per equity partner jumped 11% to $1.73 million. Meanwhile, nonequity compensation rose 3.8%, and the firm maintained its historical partner compensation ratio of 8:1.
