A former Woodstock, Georgia, police officer who claims he was fired when he failed a “hair test” indicating the presence of illegal drugs has sued the city and Police Chief Calvin Moss for racial discrimination, asserting that he was not afforded the opportunity for urine or blood testing and that hair tests are notoriously unreliable, particularly for people of color.

The complaint filed by former Officer VuongKhang Luong said the testing occurred shortly after he participated in several seizures of cash and cocaine, and his hair may have been contaminated with the drug.
