Former Chatham County District Attorney Meg Heap—one of five Republican DA’s beaten by Democratic candidates in the 2020 elections—officially started a new job this week.
Gov. Brian Kemp swore her in Tuesday to a position to which he appointed her on the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles. The board released a photo of her taking the oath, her husband by her side, a COVID-19-safe distance from Kemp in the governor’s ceremonial office. They were all wearing masks.
