The state just called dibs on a big gulp of the water in North Georgia’s scenic Lake Lanier.
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr said Tuesday he has executed an agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for water storage and withdrawal.
“Because of this contract, Georgians can rest assured that their water needs will be met for decades to come,” AG Chris Carr said. “This is an important step forward for our state.”
