Former Georgia Supreme Court Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears, a partner at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, is about to take on a new role.
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) Board of Directors has named Sears as its outside general counsel for a five-year term. Sears will succeed Holland & Knight partner Robert S. Highsmith Jr., who took on the GC role in February 2016.
