The attorney hoping to unravel a deal allowing the owner of Mercedes-Benz Stadium to avoid paying an estimated $27 million a year in Fulton County taxes has sought the recusal of five of Georgia’s Supreme Court justices weighing his appeal of the case’s dismissal.

In a series of motions filed over recent weeks, Fayetteville attorney Wayne Kendall has sought the recusals of Presiding Justice David Nahmias along with Justices Charles Bethel, Michael Boggs, Nels Peterson and Sarah Warren.
