An estimated 7,000 volunteer lawyers from the National Bar Association are fanning out across the nation to thwart voter suppression and aid voters in resolving problems that hamper their ability to vote, said NBA president CK Hoffler.
Saying that voter suppression efforts are at “an all-time high,” Hoffler, an Atlanta attorney who is also national board chairwoman of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, said some voter suppression reports her members already have tackled are “unbelievable” in their boldness.
