After graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law, Rex Smith was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1976.
After almost 30 years as a trial lawyer, Smith was drawn to mediation, which offered a lot more leeway for reaching resolution than litigation, Smith told the Daily Report a few years ago.
