In 2019, Lori Cohen of Greenberg Traurig led her team in at least 12 major mass tort or multiplaintiff matters while co-chairing the firms 600-plus attorney global litigation practice. By the beginning of 2020, she was named vice chair of the firm.

In 2019, her team secured the dismissal on behalf of Sandoz Inc. of more than 450 non-California plaintiffs for lack of personal jurisdiction in a California proceeding with more than 480 plaintiffs claims from 38 states. This victory against what is called “litigation tourism” solidified the personal jurisdiction defense and resolved questions left open by a key U.S. Supreme Court decision.
