The  multimillion dollar wrangle between developer Egbert Perry and the Atlanta Housing Authority may be history after the AHA’s recent vote to hand over several vacant properties at the heart of the dispute, but Perry’s legal battle against legal powerhouse Paul Hastings—which sued him on behalf of the city of Atlanta—continues to move forward.

A judge refused to dismiss Perry’s lawsuit earlier this month seeking more than $1 million in damages from the AmLaw 100 firm and two of its lawyers. That ruling allows Perry to pursue allegations the firm maliciously filed claims against him that it knew to be unwarranted.
