The University of Georgia has announced that Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert Benham will present the 2020 Holmes-Hunter Lecture at 2 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the chapel on the old North Campus.

The lecture is named in honor of Charlayne Hunter-Gault and Hamilton Holmes, the first African American students to attend the University of Georgia, and has been held annually since 1985.  It is sponsored by UGA’s Office of the President. The talk will focus on race relations, civil rights and education, UGA said in a news release.
