U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas says judicial independence and neutrality is as important as ever with public opinion deeply divided on high-profile issues.
“It is becoming increasingly common for public opinion to galvanize behind particular outcomes and around particular interests without regard for the law or an objective assessment of facts,” Thomas observed in a speech in Covington on Friday.
