Responses came swiftly to this week’s story about a pregnant Florida lawyer forced to defend her request to push back a scheduled trial date so she could deliver her baby. The opposing counsel, a man, analogized her pregnancy to an illness and said another lawyer could take her place in court. (His firm responded with lightning speed, too.)
