Former DLA Piper partner Adam Rogers has returned to Jones Day after a decade at other national firms.
Rogers, who worked as an associate at Jones Day’s Washington D.C. office for two years before moving to McDermott, Will & Emory in 2007, was part of a group of McDermott lawyers that moved to DLA Piper’s Miami office in 2012.
Rogers, who specializes in health care law, focuses primarily on private equity, strategic investors, entrepreneurs and other operators who work in the health care space. His experience includes counseling providers, suppliers and payers about state and federal regulations including licensure, accreditation and certification, as well as fraud and abuse laws.
“While I enjoyed my time at DLA, I felt like Jones Day seemed like a better fit,” Rogers said. “The firm has a more collaborative model that is less focused on origination and more focused on client service. Having been here and knowing the culture, it felt a little like coming home.”
Rogers, who started at Jones Day on Tuesday, said the firm has been looking to build out its health care regulatory and transactional expertise in the Miami office and he sees an opportunity to help build with that at the national level as well.
