President Donald Trump’s rollback of the Obama administration’s Cuban policies is designed to be a tectonic shift and will certainly have a negative effect—possibly more than $6 billion. The impact would be especially felt in South Florida, the epicenter of commercial cruises to Cuba, including those from the large carriers—Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian cruise lines.

We have already seen cuts in flights to Cuba, and the rollback undoubtedly will force changes in the approach and likely the timetable for businesses.
