Want to build a young South Florida super lawyer? A basic blueprint would be to be a litigator from the University of Miami School of Law who is involved in international business or real estate.

Not all of the Daily Business Review’s Rising Stars of 2016 fit the bill, but a large number of them do. Seven went to the University of Miami, eight are litigators and seven are heavily involved with international businesses (Tyler Ulrich of Boies, Schiller & Flexner, Jesus Suarez of Genovese Joblove & Battista, Alex Tolston of Hemisphere Media Group, Charlie Whorton of Rivero Mestre and Anna Marie Hernandez of Holland & Knight). But, regardless if one is a partner, associate, general counsel or in public service, all of them share the same attributes of devotion to their clients and a desire to help others — both within their firms, companies, government agencies and their communities. They all have a commitment to excellence.
