The developer of the first gated community in Southwest Ranches is expanding Landmark Ranch Estates with an opulent project larger than any already undertaken in the equestrian town.
Landmark Custom Homes announced plans for a $10 million single-family mansion on a five-acre lot that’s wider than a football field and offers an array of luxuries and resort-style amenities.
Multimillion-dollar homes are par for the course behind the ornate gates of Landmark Ranch Estates, a 140-acre development in southwest Broward County where zoning requires minimum two-acre residential lots.
But this latest addition will sit on a lot that’s about twice the size of most in the 44-home development.
“Only four homes are on five acres, so this is the crème de la crème of a very high-end community,” said Rick Bell, founder of Pembroke Pines-based Landmark.
The estate, called Palazzo Paradiso, will be an eight-bedroom mansion with nine bathrooms, two powder rooms, a central courtyard with a fireplace and an eight-car garage. It has full-size tennis and basketball courts, 9,000 square feet of covered outdoor space, Mediterranean fountains, lush foliage, a grand pavilion overlooking a swimming pool, and a meditation garden with a private trellis and koi pond.
Construction is set to start toward the end of the year.
