Chris Draper, the firm’s former head of litigation for central Florida, is leaving Becker & Poliakoff after a quarter of a century.

He is set to start next week as a partner in the West Palm Beach office of Greenspoon Marder.

“I love the firm, but after 25 years I wanted to try something different,” Draper said. “I want to do more complex commercial litigation rather than the condo and homeowner stuff.”

Draper is one of several new lawyers joining Fort Lauderdale-based Greenspoon Marder this month. A father-daughter marital and family law team— shareholder Michael Alman and associate Jamie Alman—is joining the Fort Lauderdale office. The two previously practiced at Michael J. Alman P.A. in Fort Lauderdale.

Becker has about 170 lawyers and lobbyists in offices around the country.

Greenspoon Marder has more than 160 attorneys in nine Florida offices.
