Adams and Reese has taken over the 12-attorney Volpe Bajalia Wickes Rogerson & Wachs commercial and business litigation firm in Jacksonville to add a fifth Florida office to its roster.
Volpe shareholder Timothy W. Volpe will be the partner in charge of the office. The regional firm will continue to be managed by Adams managing partner Charles P. Adams Jr. based in Jackson, Mississippi.
"Our firm’s strategic plan directs selective growth in targeted markets, and Jacksonville has been in our sights for some time," Adams said.
Partners joining Adams and Reese also include Michael D. Lee, Matthew P. McLauchlin, John T. Rogerson III and Alan S. Wachs.
The firm has 15 offices throughout the South including five in Florida. Adams and Reese took over the St. Petersburg and Sarasota offices of Ruden McClosky in 2010. The firm has other Florida offices in Tampa and Tallahassee. The firm has 60 attorneys in Florida and a total of 313 firmwide.
