S. Daniel Ponce, formerly named partner of Legon Ponce Fodiman, has joined Berger Singerman as a Miami partner.

"I was there for 13 years," Ponce said. "That firm became a pure litigation firm and I needed a bigger footprint. Berger Singerman was an attractive option to me."

Ponce, a former CPA, specializes in both complex business litigation and transactional work. He served as general counsel to two publicly held companies. He has served on federal judicial nominating commissions in both the southern and northern districts of Florida, is a trustee emeritus of the University of Florida and is past president of the Orange Bowl Committee.

The firm Legon Ponce Fodiman will now be known as Legon Fodiman, Ponce said.
