Marika Tolz, a former panelist for the U.S. bankruptcy trustee’s program, has been sentenced in state court to nearly seven years for embezzling $550,000 from the estate of three children.
The 81-month sentence handed down late Friday by Broward Circuit Judge Matthew Destry will run concurrently with Tolz’s federal sentence of eight years, including 1½ years of house arrest.
