A disbarred attorney who was a longtime law partner of fraudster Scott Rothstein has been sentenced to two years in prison for his role in the $1.2 billion investment scheme.

U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth A. Marra ordered Howard Kusnick to pay $310,000 in restitution to the Morse auto dealership family, one of the biggest losers in Rothstein’s settlement financing scam. Kusnick faced a possible term of up to five years in federal prison.
