Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Gill Freeman said Barry Minkow, the minister of a California church, forfeited his right to defend himself in the case because of “misconduct” that included failing to preserve evidence, destroying evidence, defying court orders, making false statements in sworn affidavits, testimony and written submissions to the court.
