Rothstein Saga
The Scott Rothstein case slithered through courts for much of the year. The disbarred Fort Lauderdale lawyer and his long-time assistant, law firm chief financial officer Debra Villegas, went to prison for the $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme. The unforgivable offense was the forgery of judges’ names and faked court documents. Stay tuned: 2011 is expected to produce more drama.
