A Miami state court jury found Dentons and attorney Susan Rammelt not guilty of fraud or malpractice in a $54 million dollars-to-bolivares currency transaction in which Rammelt was accused of leading an elaborate Ponzi scheme by lawyer Fernando Lauria, who lost millions in the deal.

With the initial complaint, Lauria, Cines Unidos and Philip Henriquez claimed that the defendants, Dentons, Rammelt, Digold Overseas, Bentley Legal, Henry Dabrowski and Angel Martinez-Higueras, stole millions of dollars through an elaborate scheme.
