The State Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that Broward prosecutors are dropping criminal charges against former Miami City Commissioner Alejandro “Alex” Diaz de la Portilla and attorney William W. Riley Jr.
The closeout memo explained that the case failed to meet the legal standards for prosecution.
