Smith, Gambrell & Russell is combining with Jacksonville-based boutique ABL Law, adding to the Atlanta-based firm’s growth over the years.
ABL Law’s attorneys specialize in litigation and general counsel work, which entails serving as in-house counsel for companies that don’t have general counsel. As the firm remains on the lower half of the Am Law 200, Smith Gambrell has shown an appetite to grow by combining with smaller firms. The firm has completed one merger per year over the past three years, boosting its offices in markets like Atlanta and Chicago.
